Portfolio Progression Part 2

my portfolio cover.
I have been told that the colour profile for my images included in my portfolio must be SRGB rather than Adobe RGB which I was originally setting them as. So, after the long process of resetting the colour profiles and editing a few of my images to meet specific new standards, my portfolio is still in draft mode and the new photographs have replaced the old ones.

I have made the changes that I have discussed with the class to my portfolio like including a photograph on the front cover of my book instead of having it simple with a white background and black text. I have also included a title for my portfolio rather than calling it "Portfolio - Natalie Rogers". I've found it really embraces the theme of the images and adds a sense of completeness and finesse to the entirety of my project.

I have also made changes to some of the layouts in my portfolio in regards to the pairings of the images and which images go better with which ones rather than the pairings I had originally.

I am awaiting another moderation on Monday amongst my classmates and lecturers before I go through with my payment and digital planning for the portfolio printing just to receive their thoughts and opinions again.

I feel as though my work fits in to the fine art genre as it is a type of personal work. But also, I think it fits in with candid, portraiture and fashion/beauty genres. I have been complimented on a lot of my images saying that they should be in a magazine and a few families have asked me to shoot some family portraits for them so I am very honoured for the compliments and this has given me a direction as to which genre(s) my work should go in. I found this area of investigation very difficult because I have never considered photography (let alone my own) to be categorised in genres before, so this was all new to me.

I have also done multiple contact sheets on all the images I have chosen to include in my portfolio. These contact sheets are below:
