Digital Technology 1 Week 3 Brush Adjustments

Using Lynda.com Tutorials:

In the above photographs, I followed a tutorial (as well as the rest of the class) on Lynda.com to edit the image. I consider the image on the right (the after math of the tutorial) a failure. Not because I didn't follow the tutorial correctly, I followed each step as accurately as I could, but you can see an orange line in the bottom left hand corner. I don't know how this happened, but it's completely unintentional. Aside from that mistake, I am happy with how the work came out and how it accurately resembles the tutorial and highlights the appropriate parts of the image to accentuate it's natural aesthetic.

I found that I didn't necessarily agree with what the artist doing the tutorial was doing to the images. I don't like the bottom image transformation because I think it should be in colour - not black and white. However, the learning experience that the class received thanks to the tutorial has now increased our ability in Adobe Bridge.
I do not consider this tutorial a failure though as I followed it to the last step and didn't make any unintentional mistakes like I did in the first tutorial.
