Digital Technology 1 - Week 4 - Self Directed Editing

As I really enjoy using Adobe Bridge to edit my photographs, I decided to edit a few of my favourite photographs so I could not only get to know my way around Bridge better, but so I could explore what different colour settings would bring out in my photographs.

I was trying to make the image really bright and colourful because I feel that the pose my subject is doing portrays the exact opposite. However, I dislike this image because I think the overall brightness and exposure levels on the final outcome could have been reduced. I like how the colours of the ribbons on the steel grids to the left of my subject turned out though.

With this image, I was trying to do a similar effect with the editing like in the first image on this post. Now that I look at the images from this analytical perspective, I don't like how the greenery looks after I edited the image. It is too bright and has that "obviously edited" look about it where the entire image looks very artificial. I am taking this editing on board as a lesson so I know what not to do next time.

This final image I feel turned out the best of all my edits. It is the one I wouldn't consider to look better before I edited it with Camera Raw. I like how the image appears colder in the final outcome than it does in the original image. I wanted to accentuate the isolation of the leaves and petal in the image so I attempted to make it appear as unwelcoming as possible.
